“Swordfight”
Unused storyboard panels.
Still cleaning up the old folders. This bit was edited out of the final battle. A bit sad, as it would have been fun to have seen more of North’s sword fighting, even if only for a few extra shots.
(timing is all off, but should hopefully read clearly)

HUGE congratulations to John Kahrs for Paperman’s win at the Oscars last night!!! I could absolutely not be more proud of him and the entire team (my neighbors heard so too). Thank you thank you thank you for letting me be a small part of it!!
Here’s a little section of boards I did that were not used - at one point George was fighting the daily commuters and the paper planes helped him get to the platform, but Meg was gone by then….
Paperman is also now available via Itunes!
…I have no idea why the board artists are listed under “screenwriters,” but this idea and story came wholly from John and was based on his experience living in New York.
Congratulations to Brave and Paperman for their wins at the Oscars!

That’s a wrap.
Masaaki Yuasa’s Kick Heart film has a poster! No surprise it’s as beautiful and insane as the plot. More info in their latest update, including news that the version dubbed by backers is now complete.
